Wikia has announced that on May 19 some significant typography and breakpoint changes will be rolled out. Unfortunately they seem to result in significantly less viewing space on larger screens and also for a few things to appear slightly broken.
You can try out what these new changes will look like on any page by adding ?oasisbreakpoints=1&oasistypography=1
to the end of any page's URL.
I would welcome it if any bugs (or things looking not as nice...) are reported to me via this thread so come May 19 I can attempt to fix them. Bare in mind that some of the problems will be bugs all Wikia's are experiencing, while others will be down to the additional CSS this wiki utilizes. Naturally I can only fix the latter.
Currently known issues: (will update as necessary)
- Forum Activity sidebar module overflows
- Top navigation bar sticks out to the right
- Infobox fields using {{plainlist}} get cut off at the top of each line
Also...
If the changes to the 'Oasis' skin bug you too much I've recently been doing some major work to Wikia's alternative skin 'Monobook' to make it look pretty much like Wikipedia. You can try it out by changing the layout setting in your preferences. (Although I'm still trying to improve the appearance of a few things here too)
Hopefully we won't come across too many more issues.
